Parameter Automation

Automation stores parameter changes for supported node controls so movement becomes part of the arrangement.

Detailed explanation
Automation stores parameter changes for supported node controls so movement becomes part of the arrangement.

Automation can be recorded live from node parameter changes and later edited as curves. AudioFlow only shows node parameters that can be automated.

To record automation, select the track/group to write into, press Record, then move a supported node parameter while playback runs. Stop or press Record again to save the parameter changes into the current recording region.

To edit automation after recording, open the region editor from the region, choose the automation lane for the node parameter, then adjust, add, or remove points on the curve.

Because automation travels with regions, modulation and arrangement stay attached to the musical phrase instead of drifting away from it.

What to know
  • Automation is available for many modulatable node parameters.
  • Recorded automation stays inside regions alongside notes.
  • Editing the automation layer makes transitions repeatable and precise.
Key controls

Automation Lane

Edit parameter values over time with curve points.

Parameter Target

Choose a supported node parameter rather than a generic controller lane.

Region Attachment

Automation follows the region when it moves in the arrangement.
