FM Mod
A frequency modulation source with separate carrier and modulator waveforms plus modulation depth controls.
FM Mod is a more advanced pitched generator designed for metallic, animated, and harmonically rich timbres. It still behaves like a note-driven source, but its tone is defined by the relationship between the carrier and the modulator.
To use it, drag FM Mod into the graph, connect it to the audio chain, select it for note input, then set carrier waveform, modulator waveform, mod ratio, and mod index until the harmonic character fits the part.
Like the basic oscillator, it supports envelope and shared chord/arpeggiator auxiliary inputs, plus LFO-driven modulation of exposed parameters.
- • Carrier and modulator waveforms can be chosen independently.
- • Mod ratio and mod index define the character of the FM sound.
- • Useful for bells, plucks, digital basses, and evolving synth voices.
Carrier / Modulator
Choose the waveform used by each FM stage.
Mod Ratio
Set the frequency relationship between modulator and carrier.
Mod Index
Control the modulation depth and brightness.
