Comb Filter
A short-delay resonator for metallic coloration, flanging-like tones, and tuned hollow movement.
Comb Filter uses a very short delay with feedback to create peaks and notches in the sound. It can subtly color a source, make drums ring, or push a patch toward metallic and string-like textures.
To use it, insert Comb Filter after the sound you want to shape, set Delay to choose the spacing of the resonances, adjust Feedback for intensity, then use Damping and Mix to keep the result controlled.
Low delay values make tighter, brighter coloration. Higher delay values create more obvious hollow movement, especially when Delay or Feedback is modulated.
- • Useful for resonant coloration, short metallic tails, and flanging-style motion.
- • Positive and negative feedback give different tonal characters.
- • Damping keeps the feedback loop from becoming too sharp or bright.
Delay
Set the very short delay time that defines the spacing of the resonances.
Feedback
Control the strength and polarity of the resonant loop.
Damping / Mix
Darken the feedback path and blend the effect with the original signal.
